Military Police Investigates Sale of Defense Ministry-Branded Soap in Gyumri

In the market area on Shahumyan Street in Gyumri, where mainly street trade is organized, a reddish soap branded by the Ministry of Defense is being sold. The price of one soap bar is 100 drams. Anyone can buy them without restrictions. This means that, unlike military food which is transported from house to house for sale, these products intended for the army are being freely and openly sold on the street,” reports Armtimes.com.

In response to a question from Hetq regarding whether the soap being sold is indeed property of the Ministry of Defense, that is, whether it was obtained from a military unit, the press secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, said: “The Military Police is investigating this matter. I believe we will have an answer in the coming days. It is possible that it was obtained from the producing company. We have had similar cases where these products did not come from the Ministry of Defense or military units, but were taken directly from the producer. Let's wait for the police's response.”
