You Are Lying: Armen Grigoryan Angered by Journalist's Question

Following today’s government meeting, a briefing took place where the Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, responded to journalists' questions. He stated that he does not see any issues in Armenian-Russian relations.

“We are actively working at my level, we are in active contact with my colleague, and a visit by Patrushev to Armenia is planned as well, though we are still in the negotiation phase,” said the Secretary of the Security Council, recalling that they have already held three meetings.

However, a journalist's question regarding past problems, relating to Armen Grigoryan's participation in anti-Putin demonstrations and holding slogans, provoked a strong reaction from him.

“You are lying,” responded Armen Grigoryan, which offended the journalist, prompting him to request that such expressions not be used. “Because this is being exploited; responses have been given multiple times, and they have been clear,” continued the Secretary of the Security Council.

The journalist attempted to rectify the situation again, stating that he was not exploiting the matter, but was asking about it for the first time. However, Armen Grigoryan did not wish to continue debating for long.

“If you bring signs and show that I have held anti-Putin actions, then we will continue the conversation,” he said.
