New Appointment in the Police Force: Presidential Decree by Armen Sarkissian
The President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has appointed Vahe Ghazaryan, former Deputy Chief of Police, as the Commander of the Police Forces of the Republic of Armenia and Deputy Chief of Police. This information was reported by the Office of the President of Armenia.
"Based on the Prime Minister's proposal, in accordance with the first part of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as the second part of Article 35.1 of the Law on Military Service and Status of Military Personnel, and the fourth part of Article 13 and the third part of Article 13.1 of the Law on Service in the Police, Vahe Ghazaryan is appointed as the Commander of the Police Forces of the Republic of Armenia and Deputy Chief of Police," the decree states.
Sarkissian signed the decree yesterday, on May 22.
