How the Daughter of Serzh Sargsyan's Close Friend Became Wealthy: A Young Judge
The judge of the Administrative Court of Armenia, Ani Harutyunyan, despite her young age (she is 37 years old), has amassed considerable wealth.
According to Armlur.am, the judge did not submit her annual declaration for 2018 to the Ethics Commission of High-Ranking Officials of Armenia. However, according to her 2017 annual declaration, Ani Harutyunyan's monetary assets amounted to 27.6 million AMD, 350,000 USD, and 200,000 EUR. It is also noteworthy that the young judge’s monthly salary is 544,000 AMD. Additionally, Ani Harutyunyan reported more than 55.2 million AMD in income for 2017, which she received as rental income.
The media outlet notes that it turns out the female judge declared 7 properties, 3 public buildings, a Volkswagen Touareg 4.2 car, as well as shares worth 27.9 million AMD and 50,000 AMD when she assumed office in 2013. Moreover, in 2017, Ani Harutyunyan purchased a BMW X4 for 31.9 million AMD and sold the Volkswagen Touareg 4.2 for 2 million AMD. In short, Ani Harutyunyan has every reason to be called a successful businesswoman, even though she did not hold any significant positions before becoming a judge, mainly serving as a legal advisor in various state structures and later as a mid-level official.
It has been revealed to the media that Ani Harutyunyan is not a random person; she is the daughter of a childhood friend of Serzh Sargsyan. Her father is Grisha Harutyunyan, the former deputy head of Armenia's National Security Service. Additionally, her maternal uncle is Mihran Poghosyan, the former head of the Special Investigative Service who is involved in an offshore case.
