Attempted Purse Snatching Leads to Assault and Abusive Behavior

On May 21, at 21:15, officers from the 4th battalion of the Patrol Police of Yerevan apprehended 28-year-old Armen H. and 29-year-old Karen B. on Tigran Mets Avenue on suspicion of attempted theft and hooliganism.

The police reported that the victim claimed Armen H. and Karen B. attempted to steal money from his pocket. However, after noticing their actions, a confrontation ensued, during which Armen H. and Karen B. grossly violated public order, hurling insults and inflicting injuries.

An investigation is currently underway.
