Why Judge Vazgen Rshduni Rushed to Leave Armenia
Yesterday, reports emerged that the decision to release the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, was written by three judges of the Court of Appeal: Vazgen Rshduni, the head of the Appeal Court, Arshak Vardanyan, and Mkhitar Papoyan.
ArmLur.am attempted to reach Vazgen Rshduni for a conversation as this is the second time his name has been associated with the decision to release the second President of Armenia. However, we were unable to make contact with him.
According to the ‘Zhoghovurd’ newspaper, it became known from Moscow's airport that Vazgen Rshduni has landed at the airport about two hours ago. It is surprising that he is in such a hurry to leave Armenia at a time when his name is coming up, raising serious suspicions.
We tried to clarify the information from his office, where they responded that Rshduni has gone on a business trip and is currently in Hong Kong. When we inquired about when he left, they promised to provide additional information.
