The young leader pledged to protect the country's sovereignty, independence, and work for the well-being of Ukraine and its people, defend citizens' rights and freedoms, adhere to the constitution, and raise the country's reputation worldwide.

Subsequently, the official symbols of the head of state were handed over to Zelensky.

It is noteworthy that the President of Ukraine arrived at his inauguration ceremony on foot, which took place at the Verkhovna Rada building. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko opted for an elegant suit and arrived by bicycle.
