VIDEO: Aren't you cold? Pashinyan addresses the crowd at the courthouse
Earlier today, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan arrived at the Central and Norq-Marash division of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction. Those gathered at the courthouse, who had blocked the entrance, started chanting "Prime Minister!".
“Aren't you cold?” he asked the protesters and continued, “What I have to say will be announced live at 12 PM. I want to take this opportunity to thank all our compatriots who responded to my call. I apologize that I cannot come to visit you. I hope that if you've gotten wet, you won't get sick. I want to say that I love you all, I am proud of all of you, and I bow before all of you. Most importantly—stay strong.”
The attendees began chanting “stay strong, stay strong,” and also “Nikol, Nikol.”
It is important to note that yesterday, Nikol Pashinyan called for the blocking of all entrances and exits of government buildings starting at 8:30 this morning. This has been deemed an attempted coup by a number of civic organizations. Several political parties, including the Republican Party and the Dashnaktsutyun Party, have issued statements regarding this matter.
