Attack on Hrant Margaryan While Walking with Grandchildren in Freedom Square

Following the court's decision to change the preventive measure for the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, and to release him, citizens protesting against him demonstrated outside the courthouse. They first blocked Myasnikyan Avenue and then marched to Freedom Square, where they held a rally.

During this time, an incident occurred. Protesters in Freedom Square attacked Hrant Margaryan, a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), chanting 'traitor' at him. Police managed to calm down the participants of the protest. Hrant Margaryan, who was with children, left the scene accompanied by several people.
