Explosion in Rostov Region of Russia: Casualties and Injuries Reported

An emergency situation has been declared following a powerful explosion in a residential building in the Koneshsky district of Russia's Rostov region. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

According to Russia's emergency services, the gas explosion occurred in a two-story building around midnight. As a result of the incident, there are 2 fatalities and 2 individuals injured. Seven apartments have been damaged, three of which have been completely destroyed.

At the scene, 106 personnel and 27 units of equipment are working. Thirteen individuals have found temporary shelter in a makeshift accommodation.

A representative from the prosecutor's office informed reporters that they have initiated inspections of the organizations servicing the residential building.
