Gravestones of Soviet Soldiers Defaced in Germany

Grave markers in a Soviet military cemetery in Germany have been defaced by unknown individuals. This was reported by Izvestia, referencing RBB. The incident occurred in the town of Schpremberg.

According to the source, the perpetrators painted 57 gravestones and drew four swastikas. This act took place just hours after the celebrations marking the victory in World War II, as per the Russian Embassy in Germany.

A criminal investigation has been launched on suspicion of using prohibited symbols. The mayor stated that the criminals, through their actions, have offended all victims of the war and their families.
