Suicide Attempt in Front of the Ministry of Finance

On May 10 in Yerevan, officers from the 1st Company of the 2nd Battalion of the Yerevan Police Preventive Police Division thwarted a citizen's suicide attempt.

According to Shamshyan.com, at around 02:30, while on patrol on Melik Adamyan Street, the police were approached by several citizens who reported that a man was threatening to commit suicide near the address 1 on Melik Adamyan Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police managed to engage the individual in a constructive psychological conversation to prevent him from taking extreme measures, as he was threatening to cut his wrist with a piece of glass.

The police transported the man to the central police station, where investigative materials are being prepared regarding the incident.

According to sources, the individual is 51-year-old Gagik T. from Yerevan, who explained that he had attempted to take this extreme step due to insurmountable personal problems.
