Altercation in Burastan Leaves Several Injured
On May 9, at 22:30, the Artashat division of the police received a report from a hospital that two 17-year-old residents of Burastan had been admitted with "lacerations to the left thigh and left arm" and "a penetrating stab wound to the left side of the chest, as well as non-penetrating stab wounds to the right and left flanks of the abdominal wall."
According to the police, an operational group determined that around 22:20 on the same day, during an altercation in Burastan village, 18-year-old Garik Sh. attacked the youths with a sharp cutting and stabbing instrument, causing their injuries.
As a result of measures taken by the officers of the Artashat division of the police, Garik Sh. was detained and presented to the regional investigative department.
Efforts are underway to locate the weapon used in the crime. An investigation is ongoing.
