Spain's Soria City Recognizes Armenian Genocide
The city council of Soria, Spain, has officially recognized the Armenian Genocide. All four parties in the city council unanimously adopted a motion presented by the "Ararat" Armenian Association.
The motion was read by Mayor Carlos Martínez Mingues, who announced that Soria officially acknowledges the Armenian Genocide and urged the governments of Castile and León, Spain, and Turkey to follow their example by recognizing the Armenian Genocide and condemning its perpetrators. This was reported by the Armenian Embassy in Spain.
