We also shoot, and we shoot very strictly when the opponent violates the ceasefire regime: Tonoyan
The situation along the Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijan border is relatively stable. This was stated today by Defense Minister David Tonoyan during an interview with reporters at the Yerablur military pantheon.
The minister noted that all measures are being taken to prevent such issues from arising. “When such incidents occur from the opponent's side, it’s not that we do not shoot. And we shoot very strictly,” announced the minister.
It is noteworthy that recently the Artsakh Defense Ministry reported that Azerbaijani forces had recently fired at a bread truck stationed in one of the units in the eastern (Aknagh) part of the Defense Army with SVD-type sniper rifles, damaging the truck's body. On the night between May 2 and 3 alone, around 330 shots were fired towards the military positions in the northeastern (Mataghis) sector of the army using large caliber sniper weapons, machine guns, and automatic rifles.
