Azerbaijan Has Been Intensively Preparing for War for the Last 25 Years, Armenian Prime Minister

“Azerbaijan has been intensively preparing for war for the last 25 years.” Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this today during a meeting with reporters, answering a question regarding the realism of a potential resumption of hostilities, given the recent increase in gunfire from the adversary along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

“If we are experiencing daily gunfire—regardless of whether it is significant or not—it means we are in a state of pre-war or semi-war. Over the past two months, there have been noticeable tensions on certain days, but overall, the existing stability and calm are being maintained. At this moment, we find ourselves in the following situation: as you know, communication channels have been established between me and the President of Azerbaijan. During this period, I am trying to understand what is happening. We exchange information and concerns, and of course, as always, there are mutual accusations, but I hope we will manage to understand what is happening and why. I wish a swift recovery to our wounded soldiers,” said the Prime Minister.
