Who is the new judge in the case of Kocharyan and others?

«Hraparak» newspaper writes: “The judicial case of Robert Kocharyan and others, and before that the review of the arrest, is being passed from hand to hand; no judge wants to participate in the process of trying the former president, former minister, and former deputy prime minister. Recently, the judge Vardan Grigoryan, who filed for recusal, turned out to have provided defense in the March 1 cases, thus creating a conflict of interest.

Following his recusal, the case has been assigned to the judge Davit Grigoryan of the Yerevan court. The 52-year-old judge has worked for many years in the prosecutor's office, ranging from investigator, assistant prosecutor to deputy community prosecutor. He was appointed as a judge in the Syunik region in 2013 and moved to Yerevan in 2016,” the newspaper reports.

Details in today’s issue of the newspaper.
