These People Don't Know How to Govern a City: Former Davtashen Community Head
The former head of the Davtashen administrative district, Ruslan Baghdasaryan, learned about a criminal case involving his name from the media.
"Dear compatriots, today the police issued a press release about initiating a criminal case. I learned about it from the media; until now, I have not been summoned for any investigation by law enforcement. At this moment, I will not comment on the initiated criminal case as I am unaware of the details. I will just say one thing, which was expected—against the backdrop of my criticism of the mayor, since, as I mentioned, these people don't know how to govern a city, they fill the void with such absurdities by appealing to law enforcement. I will address it in more detail after a meeting with my lawyer," wrote the former community head on his Facebook page.
Earlier, it was reported that based on information obtained from the National Security Service of Armenia, it was revealed that during the period from 2009 to 2018, various positions were appointed in the staff of the former head of the Davtashen administrative district, but his close associates did not actually attend work.
In cases of non-fulfillment of duties as outlined in the orders and employment contracts, a total of 41,720,929 drams was disbursed in salaries under their names, which has been embezzled through misappropriation.
A criminal case has been initiated on the basis of relevant articles of the Criminal Code of Armenia and sent to the investigative body.
