Is America Preparing a 'Pawn Move' for Armenian Authorities?

The newspaper 'Pasta' writes that recently, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has openly expressed his dissatisfaction with the political stance of the United States. He has not missed an opportunity to articulate his views, even in a recent interview with a Russian media outlet where he coincidentally shared similar sentiments regarding U.S.-Armenian relations.

Particularly irked by Pashinyan's comments through Russian media, American officials feel slighted. Notably, he also voiced his grievances from the podium of the National Assembly. According to information from 'Pasta,' in response to Pashinyan's complaints, the Americans are preparing to counter him with a sort of 'pawn move.' They are expected to propose a new strategic format for intergovernmental cooperation with Pashinyan in the near future.

The Americans' calculation is approximately as follows: if the agreement is reached, then mutual collaboration will ensue; if he declines, it indicates the presence of a Russian factor.

Some opinions suggest that Pashinyan will likely try to sidestep such an overt collaboration. However, it remains difficult to imagine what diplomatic solutions he may devise to avoid upsetting either the Americans or the Russians.
