The Number of Armenians Continues to Decrease: 2,962,100 People as of April 1
The number of citizens permanently residing in Armenia was 2,962,100 as of April 1, 2019.
According to the National Statistical Committee, the population has decreased by 7,800 compared to the same period last year.
In the first four months of this year, 8,042 children were born in Armenia (this figure is 3.1% lower than last year's data). In the same period, the number of deaths has increased, totaling 7,373.
