Manvel Grigoryan's Defenders to Appeal to ECHR and International Courts
“The Prime Minister has declared that he will not intervene in the judicial system, nor in the investigative actions, but that is not enough. It is insufficient in the sense that there is indeed an interferer. And that interferer is the state-authorized bodies. Before this revolution, there was a type of judge who worked waiting for instructions from the executive. Now, those same judges are working with the same content,” said Levon Baghdasaryan, the lawyer of Manvel Grigoryan and Nazik Amiryan, during a conversation with reporters today.
Lawyer Levon Baghdasaryan also noted that he is confident that selective justice is occurring and will occur in this criminal case.
“The defense mechanism considers that justice in this case is exhausted in domestic courts and will appeal to the European Court of Human Rights and international bodies as per the established legal procedure,” he added.
