Direct. Mobile Coffee Shop Owners Protest in Front of the Government

Representatives of the mobile coffee shop sector are holding a protest in front of the Government building of the Republic of Armenia.

Aren Melikyan, founder of the 'Mobile Coffee Shop Union,' stated via Facebook Live that they are requesting the government to propose alternative solutions for mobile coffee shops.

“We need to urge the Electric Networks of Armenia to temporarily allow all 47 mobile points to operate until the law is regulated. We have requested that mobile points be removed from the Republic Square area, near the metro station of the Republic Square. Nine businesses have followed our request, but the city hall has yet to take any action,” Melikyan wrote.

It is worth noting that by the order of Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan, an inventory of existing mobile commerce points has been conducted in the capital. During the latest working consultation, it was reported that there are currently 47 such vehicles operating in Yerevan.
