Zelensky Promises to Follow George Washington's Advice

Ukrainian President-elect Volodymyr Zelensky has announced his intention to operate in accordance with the advice of the first President of the United States, George Washington. This was reported by REN-TV, highlighting that yesterday the Central Election Commission of Ukraine officially declared Zelensky as the President of Ukraine.

Zelensky mentioned that there is a certain symbolism linked to the day of his presidential declaration, as it coincides with the date 230 years ago when George Washington took his oath of office. 'I do not compare myself to that figure, as it is too early, but if you don’t mind, I will quote his words, in which the first President of the United States called for working so that the heavenly spark known as conscience does not fade away,' said Zelensky, promising to work like Washington.
