Ukrainian MP Denied Entry to Armenia at Russia's Request
Ukrainian MP Mustafa Nayem has announced via a Facebook post that he was prevented from entering Armenia on April 30 at the request of Russia.
“I presented my regular passport at the border control point since the trip was not work-related, and I do not utilize my diplomatic passport. After a lengthy check, the officers informed me that there is a 'departure ban' noted in the database. When I requested clarification, they said it was unclear and simply stated, 'just an undesirable person'.”
The MP continued, stating that after some time, two other officials from the migration service approached him and clarified that the ban was not imposed by Armenia, but rather at the request of a “third party.”
