Joint Turkish-Azerbaijani Military Exercises Begin
Joint military exercises between Turkey and Azerbaijan commenced on May 1 in Azerbaijan. The exercises, named "Mustafa Kemal Atatürk-2019," involve live-fire drills. The purpose of these exercises is to coordinate the activities of military units from Azerbaijan and Turkey and to enhance the combat readiness of the soldiers.
