I Have Never Worn a Suit Worth More Than 200,000 Drams: Sanasaryan Addresses Question During Press Conference

Former head of the State Revenue Committee, Davit Sanasaryan, has addressed an incident from his press conference the previous day concerning the claim of wearing a suit worth 3 million drams.

“Another piece of disinformation from the uninformed,” he wrote on Facebook. “Yesterday, a girl was taught to create a sensation during the press conference, but she received notably negative reactions from journalists. Now, they're spreading nonsense about her, claiming that I haven't denied wearing a 3 million dram suit.”

“Dear people, I am reporting to you, not to those who fabricate lies: I have never worn a suit worth more than 200,000 drams and I mostly order from Armenian tailors. I love you all,” Sanasaryan stated.

It is worth noting that during the press conference that took place yesterday, a journalist from Antifake.am presented a photo in front of Davit Sanasaryan and asked him to explain what brand of suit he was wearing in that picture and how much it cost.

Sanasaryan had avoided answering the question, while the journalist insisted that experts claimed the suit was from the Stefano Ricci brand, which costs three million drams.

“Whoever said they would donate, it’s good that my garments aren’t being seen; they should say something about that too,” Davit Sanasaryan responded.

When one journalist jokingly asked if it could be a counterfeit, Sanasaryan replied jokingly, “I do not wear fake things.”
