Trees Cut Down in Vanadzor Health Resort Area, Director Assures They Were Sick
Recently, around ten thick-trunked trees were cut down in the area of the 'Vanadzor' health resort in the Lori region. Approximately twenty more trees have been heavily trimmed.
According to Shamshyan.com, the stumps of the felled trees are being used as benches and chairs in the resort's park. However, not only vacationers benefit from the resort's park, but also the residents of Vanadzor, who have expressed their anger upon seeing the cut trees.
The resort's director, Sargis Amiryan, stated that the removed trees posed a danger of falling and were also sick. According to the director, they have planted new saplings in place of the cut trees.
The director assured that they consulted with a dendrologist before cutting and trimming the trees, received his professional conclusion, and only then carried out the cuts and trims.
