Pashinyan Holds Stern Discussion with Acting Head of the State Revenue Committee

According to ArmDaily.am, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a stern discussion with the acting head of the State Revenue Committee, Argishti Kyaramyan.

Earlier, while speaking about his assets, Kyaramyan stated that he was not accountable for his wealth, subsequently correcting himself by claiming that the funds were gifted by his uncle. During a conversation with reporters, the Prime Minister remarked that Kyaramyan had misspoken, emphasizing that the acting head of the State Revenue Committee should be accountable to the citizens, and promised to clarify the situation.

The media outlet has learned that Pashinyan informed the acting head that every official must be accountable, and his explanation was not convincing at all. It is possible that the acting head of the State Revenue Committee will come up with a more “convincing” clarification.

Additionally, according to the media, it is likely that the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin will also provide an explanation soon regarding how the bishop of the Kotayk diocese, Arakhel (whose passport name is Elbek Kyaramyan), has a child. Although the cleric insists that Argishti Kyaramyan is his cousin, the facts suggest otherwise, as there is only one Elbek Kyaramyan in Armenia, who is Argishti’s father.
