“When we were supposed to start the investigation, I was warned that we were entering a domain where there is serious counteraction - we are entering the field of former oligarchs: I said I am not interested in whose domain we are entering, as I want to restore legality,” stated Davit Sanasaryan, who has held the position of the head of the State Revenue Committee, during today’s press conference.

“I am trying to understand what waters are flowing, why this is being done. I have serious suspicions, which I will not disclose yet. I am not a lost person; I receive a lot of information, and I analyze it to see where these winds are coming from,” he added.

Commenting on his relationship with the Director of the NSS, Davit Sanasaryan said, “My relationship with Mr. Vanetsyan should not be connected to this case in any way. Mr. Vanetsyan is not the head of the investigative body, and in general, I would urge him not to speak on this topic.” He noted that he had a working relationship with Vanetsyan, and there was no issue.

“But the call is clear that people who are not authorized to interfere should not intervene, as this will be considered pressure. Arthur Vanetsyan says we will see in court. Such a statement cannot be made as the case may not go to court,” he concluded.
