Details from the Pashinyan-Medvedev Conversation

“This meeting is a good opportunity to discuss bilateral relations. We have met on several occasions, addressing the current situation ... And now we will move on to the main issues, especially since our partners have prepared several questions for us,” said Russian Prime Minister Medvedev during his meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan.

According to RIA Novosti, Medvedev noted that the meeting is a valuable chance to address many important, including complex, issues. The Russian Prime Minister thanked Pashinyan for organizing an informal reception and inviting him to his residence, adding that it is a “worthy” meeting that allows for better mutual understanding and discussions on various formats of bilateral cooperation in an informal setting. For his part, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed confidence that Moscow and Yerevan can elevate their bilateral relations to a new level, despite certain pessimistic sentiments.

“In Armenia, it is customary to receive the most cherished guests at home, and I am very glad to have such an opportunity. I believe that our relations have developed as expected over the past year; of course, this does not mean there haven’t been issues,” said Pashinyan.
