Azerbaijan Does Not Need Democracy: Pozner
Famous television presenter Vladimir Pozner, responding to reader Bahram Rajabov’s question about which post-Soviet countries need democracy, stated that it is necessary for Armenia, but not for Azerbaijan, as reported by Pozner Online.
“Democracy in certain post-Soviet states, in one form or another and on varying scales, is necessary. These include the Baltic states, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, Ukraine, and Russia. Others, such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and the Central Asian countries, do not need it today,” said Pozner.
The well-known television presenter added that different peoples are historically prepared for certain developments and experiences.
