Pashinyan Apologizes to Oligarch: 'Hraparak'

The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports: 'The public familiar with Nikol Pashinyan's lexicon of “laying on asphalt” and “slapping against the wall” cannot imagine how soft he can be when it is necessary.

We were told that even towards those whom he has publicly insulted or “slapped against the wall,” he is extremely respectful in private meetings.

Moreover, he often initiates those meetings himself. Following this principle, he invited one of the oligarchs he had publicly insulted to his office and apologized for the coarse words, expressing hope that he would continue his activities in the same way as during the previous regime.

Using the same principle, he also invited former commander of the Artsakh army, Levon Mnatsakanian, whom he himself had instructed to be dismissed. Pashinyan attempted to win his friendship. Mnatsakanian agreed with great difficulty to come from Artsakh to Armenia and meet with the Prime Minister. During the meeting, Pashinyan tried to explain the logic behind his decision and to establish a relationship. We contacted Levon Mnatsakanian. He, after thinking for a moment upon hearing our question, said, 'That’s none of your business.'
