Financial Assets and Income of Ararat Governor: 'Fact'

'Fact' newspaper reports, 'The Governor of Ararat, Garik Sargsyan, has submitted his annual declaration for 2018 to the Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Officials.

According to the data published on the official website of the Commission, the amount of cash in Armenian drams held by the Governor at the beginning of the 2018 tax year was 700,000 AMD. In addition to this, at the beginning of the tax year, G. Sargsyan also had 80,000 rubles.

By the end of the 2018 tax year, the aforementioned cash assets in drams increased, amounting to 1,100,000 AMD. However, the 80,000 rubles decreased to 50,000 rubles.

The official’s income during the tax year 2018 was derived from his salary, totaling 3,530,208 AMD.

According to the governor’s declaration upon assuming office, his income in June 2018 was 980,000 AMD.'
