Participants in Wedding in Echmiadzin Fire Shots in the Air
According to Shamshyan.com, on April 25, operational information was received at the first division of the second department of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Police, indicating that on the same day shots were fired during a wedding motorcade on the Yerevan-Echmiadzin highway from vehicles with license plates 36 AT 484 (BMW) and 31 TM 003 (Kia Sorento).
As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the mentioned vehicles were detained with their passengers by police near 5th street of the Yerevan-Echmiadzin highway.
The police identified that the BMW was driven by 24-year-old David Minasian, a resident of Ohanov Street in Yerevan, and his passenger was 20-year-old Khosrov Akhilyan, also a resident of Ohanov Street in Yerevan. It was also determined that the Kia was driven by 23-year-old Edgar Ohanyan from Parakar village, and his passengers included 23-year-old Rudik Hovhannisyan, a resident of Ohanov Street in Yerevan, and 23-year-old Zohrab Hayrapetyan from Nor Kharberd in Ararat Province.
According to G. Shamshyan's reports, during a personal search of Edgar Ohanyan, a smoking device with a resinous substance was found along with a weapon registration card in his name. Ohanyan has already stated at the police station that the device belongs to him and that he used it for consuming marijuana, while the firearm also belongs to him and is in the Kia.
It was also revealed that several shots were fired into the air along the Yerevan-Echmiadzin road.
The participants of the wedding were released.
