My Step MPs Propose Compensation Mechanism for Tuition Fees of Working Students

Members of the My Step faction in the National Assembly of Armenia, Sisak Gabrielyan and faction leader Lilit Makunts, have proposed a new draft law concerning tuition fees. According to Sisak Gabrielyan, the draft obliges the state to cover the tuition fees of working students.

“The draft proposes to reimburse the tuition fees of both regular employees and students providing services under civil contracts from the income tax. The state will also pay for the tuition of working students in vocational and technical educational institutions,” he stated.

Only students surpassing the minimum income threshold will be entitled to compensation. The draft will soon be discussed in the government, and I hope we will achieve positive results. Most likely, we will also organize a public discussion with sector specialists, and during this time, I would be happy to hear your comments and suggestions.” Sisak Gabrielyan added in a post on his Facebook page.
