Are You Expecting More? You Are Right to Do So, and More Will Come - Pashinyan

People are right to expect more, and it is great that they do. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a conversation with journalists today, on April 26.

“In Armenia, 50,000 jobs have been brought out of the shadow economy or created within a year. We are confident that we will exceed the state budget's revenue part by at least 40 billion drams. We will raise teachers' salaries, and from July 1, military salaries will also increase. The salaries of the NSS and police have already been raised, with 205,000 people's salaries increasing from July 1. Health workers' salaries have increased by 30 percent, and the pensions and benefits of 85,000 people will rise enough to not fall below the consumer basket level. Elections that unequivocally conform to the standards of democracy have taken place in Armenia. There are no barriers in the market entry in Armenia. Are you expecting more? You are right to do so, and more will come,” Pashinyan said.

In response to a question about whether his rating has fallen or risen in the past year, the prime minister replied, “I have addressed this question before. I do not want to get into that debate, but anyone who wants to get an answer to that question can come and see, as I occasionally walk through the streets of Yerevan.”
