New Explosion in Sri Lanka
A new explosion has occurred in Western Sri Lanka. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the News First publication.
Law enforcement officials stated that the explosion was recorded this morning in the city of Pugoda, located 37 kilometers from the country’s de facto capital, Colombo. There is currently no information about any casualties.
It is worth recalling that on Easter Sunday, eight explosions rocked various hotels and churches across Sri Lanka. Another explosion was recorded on April 22 near St. Anthony’s Church in Colombo. No extremist groups have yet claimed responsibility for the incidents, but it is already clear that it was a planned terrorist attack. The government has imposed a state of emergency in the country starting at midnight.
