Leave it be, the economy will develop: Tsarukyan
Today, what everyone wants is for our relations to deteriorate, but to their detriment, they will not deteriorate, said the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan, in a conversation with journalists at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial on April 24, addressing the question of reports in the press stating that his relations with Prime Minister Pashinyan have soured.
“Everyone is opening parties now, they are in some movement... leave it be, the economy will develop. There is no such thing, nor can there be,” he said.
Tsarukyan noted that some people want to “stir the pot, muddy the waters by talking about various things.”
“A person who has never lifted a finger, who hasn’t planted a single tree, today talks about investment. Our nation is a working nation; we are down to 2 million, which is a large collective. Now, those who control all this, work effectively and understand what can be done, taking all this into consideration, can put the economy on track in 3 months and work, and every sector will be efficient,” he said, providing an example of how he took on the sports sector when there hadn’t been a medal for years and now there is one. “So, nothing is impossible. All the sectors I have taken on were in ruins; whatever I have taken, I developed, I flourished. Today, we are at the peak,” he stated.
