There is No Attitude from Russia Towards Robert Kocharyan, Says Alen Simonyan
As Armenia does not interfere in the internal affairs of any country, so no other country should interfere in our internal affairs. This was stated by National Assembly Vice President Alen Simonyan during a conversation with journalists, responding to a question about the Prime Minister's statement urging certain Russian media operating in Armenia to be correct in covering the criminal prosecution of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, within the framework of the March 1 case.
When asked by journalists whether he sees any 'support from the Russian Federation' for Robert Kocharyan, Alen Simonyan replied: 'I do not think that the expression 'support from the Russian Federation' is correct. These are the internal affairs of Armenia, and just as we do not interfere in the internal affairs of any country, no other country should interfere in our internal affairs. I think that message has been communicated multiple times, and our partners will draw their conclusions.'
Alen Simonyan also noted that in private conversations, he can assure that, in general, there is no support from the Russian side for Robert Kocharyan.
