Sarkisov Not Dismissed from Office, According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has responded to a query from Sputnik Armenia regarding the dismissal of Nikolay Sarkisov, Armenia's consul in Lyon, France, as reported by armeniasputnik.am.

On April 16, the newspaper "Patsat" reported that Nikolay Sarkisov had been dismissed from his position as consul in Lyon. The article stated that Sarkisov, according to the new government's assessment, does not meet the demands of the new era and "new Armenia."

However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs remarked, "The information from the 'Patsat' newspaper claiming that Nikolay Sarkisov has been dismissed from his position as the Consul General in Lyon does not correspond to reality. Currently, Nikolay Sarkisov is still serving as the Consul General of Armenia in Lyon, France."

It should be noted that the Sarkisov brothers are well-known businessmen. Nikolay Sarkisov is the younger brother, while the management of their businesses is officially handled by the elder brother, Sergey Sarkisov.
