In an article published by one of the media outlets titled "L'il, if I go to the Police, I won't be able to return, they'll make a mess of my head," it was reported that Omar Azmanyan was beaten in the police station of Armavir, suffering a broken rib, and was forced to admit to a crime he did not commit, according to the police press service.
"In reality, on November 29, 2018, the police received a report that two masked individuals had entered the home of one of the residents of Zartonq village. Measures were taken and one of the perpetrators, Karen Azizyan, was apprehended on the spot, while the other fled. A criminal case was initiated on the incident of robbery, during which operational-investigative and procedural measures were carried out, resulting in the identification of the fugitive as Omar Azmanyan, who was apprehended on January 20 at the Bagratashen border checkpoint and presented for pre-investigation. Subsequent actions also led to the discovery of the firearm.
