Islamic State Claims Responsibility for Sri Lanka Attacks

The Islamic State terrorist group (banned in several countries) has claimed responsibility for the attacks in Sri Lanka. The announcement was made through the Amaq agency.

The local authorities stated that the series of attacks was a response from Islamists to the shooting that took place in Christchurch, New Zealand.

The death toll from the Sri Lanka explosions has reached 321, with over 550 people injured. Rescue teams have defused explosives at several bus stops, while special services continue the search for explosive devices.
