Employees at the Municipality to Receive Bonuses, Except for the Mayor

There will be quarterly bonuses for the entire staff, naturally excluding the mayor. This was announced today, April 23, during a meeting of the Yerevan City Council by Mayor Hayk Marutyan, who jokingly added, "and excluding the council members."

"I have already informed our staff, and I would also like to inform our council members that there will be quarterly bonuses for the entire staff. We will discuss the issue of salary increases later. But for this quarter, it is a priority as our staff has literally worked day and night, completing 3-4 times more work than this time last year, and they should be rewarded for their efforts and dedication," said the mayor.

Regarding the topic of bonuses, David Khajakyan, the leader of the 'Lypus' faction, noted that there were false reports circulating that they were against the bonuses. "Let no one spread information that the 'Lypus' faction opposes bonuses or financial aid to municipal employees," he stated, adding that they had opposed bonuses given before the New Year because they were also awarded to individuals who had only worked for 2-3 months, and because this information was kept secret and not made public.
