A New Toyota Camry Purchased for Makunts; Declined Vahram Baghdasaryan's Vehicle

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that the National Assembly has purchased a new Toyota Camry for Lilith Makunts, as she did not wish to use the vehicle that was assigned to Vahram Baghdasaryan. An insider from the National Assembly commented, "The cars of the chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of committees have been taken away from me."

When we inquired with Tigran Galstyan, the head of the National Assembly staff, whether they had indeed purchased a new car for Makunts, he responded, "You remember that the previous National Assembly staff had bought four new Toyotas for the vice-presidents. When I was appointed, I was allocated a 2015 Toyota, and the fourth Toyota was being used by the deputy head of the staff before my arrival. After he submitted his resignation, that vehicle was transferred to me and the car allocated to me was given to Makunts. That is the whole story."

We also asked if it bothered him that the Toyotas were being purchased from a competitive firm associated with Kocharian. He stated, "Firstly, I have no connection with 'My Step' and I am not a party member; I am a manager doing my job. Today, we have 10 cars in the National Assembly fleet, and we returned 11 to the state. Those were the vehicles of the chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of committees, and we want to minimize the costs of the National Assembly."
