David is my friend, but know well that there are no untouchable people
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, made a post on his Facebook page regarding the head of the State Revenue Committee, David Sanasaryan:
“Today was Saturday, and I had the opportunity to get acquainted with the discussions surrounding the head of the State Revenue Committee, David Sanasaryan. My conclusion is simple: the ‘brotherhood’ mindset is much more deeply rooted in Armenia than oligarchy and crime.
Even for civil activists and political figures, ‘brotherhood’ remains a fundamental formula of worldview. Disregarding truth and the interests of truth, disregarding the revolution and its values.
David is also my friend, but know well that there are no untouchable people in Armenia. Whether in the opposition or in power, whether revolutionary or counter-revolutionary. Anyone who has not understood this should remain in the dreams of sergeant nostalgia. And by the way, the law will be doubly strict against all those who have stood before the people and spoken of legality and justice, of the inadmissibility of impunity and favoritism.
And if they have crossed the line they drew, their charge will not only be under the criminal code, their charge will be based on the logic of betraying the people. I say this without violating anyone’s presumption of innocence. Let a normal investigation take place. If you do not allow it, I will ensure it.
Within the scope of the powers granted to me by law,” wrote Nikol Pashinyan.
