Young Man Threatens to Cut High-Voltage Power Lines in Yerevan
On April 18, a tense and potentially explosive situation arose in the Ajapnyak administrative district of Yerevan, particularly in the Lukashin neighborhood, where long-time residents gathered once again to demand solutions to their long-standing issues from the Yerevan city hall and local authorities.
According to Shamshyan.com, in a show of protest, a young resident by the name of Hayk decided to climb up and cut the high-voltage power lines.
The situation escalated to the point where officers from the Malatia Police Department arrived on the scene, led by the head of the department's operational division, Andranik Shahbazyan. He managed to engage in a correct and humane dialogue with both Hayk and the protesters, after which Hayk, responding to the police and believing in their intentions, climbed down from the high-voltage electric pole. Subsequently, they headed to the Mashtots Police Department to discuss the situation on-site.
