Three-and-a-Half-Year-Old Child Taken Home from Kindergarten in Bloodied Clothes

A resident of Yerevan, Zhenya Mkrtchyan, reports that days ago she went to Yerevan's number 120 kindergarten and found her three-and-a-half-year-old daughter with a damaged lip and bloodied clothes.

"They called from the kindergarten and said to come, the child is bleeding from her lip. I went and saw the bed, clothes, and nightgown were bloodied. I asked what happened, and they said, 'We don’t know,'" the woman told NEWS.am.

According to Zhenya Mkrtchyan, her child might have been injured by a boy from her group, who, according to the woman, has a privileged status at the kindergarten.

"There is a child in the group whose mother works at this kindergarten, and because of this fact, her child behaves very entitled, pushing and hitting all the children. I have warned several times that this child regularly hits my daughter and have asked for a solution to the issue. My daughter told me that this boy pushed her, causing her to fall and injure her lip, while the kindergarten claims they do not know what happened. My child has told me that the caretaker and the educator frequently leave the group and leave them alone. A three-year-old does not lie. I have spoken to her and even filmed her. She has explained how the child who hits her has certain advantages in the kindergarten," she shared with the media.

In an interview with the media, the police confirmed the information regarding the alert, noting that a juvenile affairs inspector had been sent to the kindergarten to investigate the report.

The director of Yerevan's number 120 kindergarten, Diana Muradyan, excluded the possibility that the child’s lip injury was a result of a conflict with another child.
