Snow Expected: Gagik Surenyans Forecast
Cold air masses of Arctic origin are expected to penetrate into Armenia from the northeast this evening, resulting in a further decrease in air temperature by 5-7 degrees across the entire territory of Armenia on April 20. This was announced by Gagik Surenyans, the head of the Hydrometeorological Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia, on his Facebook page.
Surenyans added in his post:
“During the upcoming day, precipitation is expected across the entire republic, with snowfall anticipated in all mountainous regions, in Lori, as well as in the foothill areas of Tavush and Syunik starting this evening and continuing throughout the day on April 20. In particular, heavy snowfall is expected in the foothill areas of Syunik, where snow depth could reach 20-25 cm or more on April 20.”
