Quality of Television Programming in Focus of Government Attention: Details by Pashinyan
The quality of television programming is currently under the focus of the Armenian government. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan mentioned this while responding to questions from users on the social media platform Facebook.
One user inquired about the steps being taken to enhance the quality of television broadcasts.
“Recently, there was a discussion in the government on this topic, and we were talking about the quality of series. Noting that series are quite popular in Armenia, we believe it would be appropriate to improve their quality by incorporating an educational component,” said Nikol Pashinyan. He also emphasized that, in addition to television series, attention should be given to programs. According to the Prime Minister, there are already programs on air that receive positive feedback from the public, and there is considerable interest in the show 'Our Contemporary Hero'. Pashinyan believes there should be more programs that include educational and developmental components.
In this context, Nikol Pashinyan highlighted a new initiative being implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia. This is the 'E-cult' project, which will allow schoolchildren to visit theaters and concert halls for free once a year. The Prime Minister informed that a corresponding tool will be placed on dasaran.am, enabling students to acquire tickets to attend cultural venues.
