Pashinyan Not Satisfied with Everyone's Work

Pashinyan Not Satisfied with Everyone's Work

I feel increasingly guilty for the excessive attention focused on me, whether intentionally or unintentionally. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a Facebook live stream in response to a user’s question about how long he plans to work alone on behalf of others.

“As a Prime Minister, as a political figure, as a person, I draw too much attention to myself, and the work done by others is simply not visible or not well visible. Especially in the last 10 months, I have thought a lot about this because sometimes it seems to me that both the press and social networks are too focused on me, which results in overlooking the work of other government members and my team. I am not saying that everyone in our team is perfect or breaking records, but I see that 90 percent of these accusations and prejudices are unfounded because people are working. The results we already have today cannot be the result of one person’s work. It is the result of team work,” he noted.

The Prime Minister assured that he works only on his own behalf. “That I need to work much is obvious because if someone wants to work little, the position of Prime Minister is not for them.”

He mentioned that he is not satisfied with everyone’s work, but also not satisfied with his own work. “Everyone is working for themselves. Is everyone working in a way that I am fully satisfied with their work? Not completely, but I must say that I am not fully satisfied with my own work either. If I am not satisfied with my work, naturally, I cannot be fully satisfied with others' work.”
